Gateway Community Fort Myers, Florida

The community includes more than 40 businesses and offers several parks and more than 15 miles of walking, jogging, biking and fitness trails which wind throughout the community, many of them overlooking the golf course, lakes and nature preserves. The Club at Gateway underwent a $5 million dollar renovation in 2020 that includes a resort-style pool w/tiki bar, fitness center, spin room, bottle room & storage, formal & informal dining, bocce ball, tennis, & pickleball to its social and equity members.

The Gateway High School opened in August 2021 and is located on Griffin Drive in Gateway. The three-story state of the art building is home to Eagles.

The Gateway Elementary School K-5th grade is located at 13280 Griffin Drive in Gateway and home to the Gators.

The Gateway Charter Intermediate & High Schoolgrades 6-12 is a tuition-free public charter school located at 12770 Gateway Boulevard in Gateway and home to the Griffins.

The Gateway Charter School grades VPK-5th is a tuition-free public charter school located at 12850 Commonwealth Drive in Gateway.

The Gateway Commons Pool is located at Gateway Blvd. The pool is short course size heated pool with a designated lap lane. There is a wading pool and playground for the kids. Other features include covered area with picnic tables. Lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas for the kids.

The Sherman Soccer Complex has 6 regulation size soccer fields, a playground, restrooms and a concession stand. The soccer fields may be used by residents at any time there is not league play.

The Gateway Fun Park has a playground, basketball court and sand volleyball court. There is a BBQ grill and picnic tables. It also has plenty of room to throw a frisbee or football around. The Fun Park is located at the end of Eagle Point Dr off Gateway Blvd.

The Gateway Dog Park provides a full-service place for dog owners to let their pets run free safely and legally without a leash. The park located Adjacent to the Sherman Soccer Complex off Griffin Road, is approximately one acre and features separate fenced areas for large dogs and small dogs.

The Gateway community in Fort Myers is approximately one mile from the new Boston Red Sox MLB spring training complex. JetBlue Park, which was designed as an exact replica of Boston's Fenway Park, holds 11,000 fans and boasts six lighted practice fields that are available for use by the Lee county's youth sports programs. Additionally, a new hotel, shopping center and restaurants are also planned as part of the 80-acre development.
