2018 Spring season online registration is now open. Registration will close on Jan 13th.

MEDICAL WAIVERS (Under Forms & Handouts) ARE DUE FOR ALL PLAYERS.

  • Registration is $ 125. Register before Dec 8th to receive a $10 discount – Please click on the baseball registration link on the left side of the page. This will prompt you to an Active website that you will have to register on. You will pay by credit card on this website.
  • $10 Late fee registration after Jan 13th. No cancellation refunds after uniforms have been ordered
  • Volunteers are a vital part of having a successful season. If you would like to volunteer please check off the appropriate box when you register.
  • New Player Information: Please read the baseball registration page prior to signing up in person or online
  • Little League T-Ball starts at 4. Online registration will only accept you if you meet the eligibility dates.
  • Kids will be participating at least twice a week.
  • Practice dates and times aren’t determined until we know how many teams and managers we have and registration is closed.
  • Game schedules will not be out until mid Feb.

  • 1/15/19 or 1/16/19 – Spring Evaluations for Minors and above only (Wait for league emails for updates. Days will be division specific)
  • 1/22/19 week of – Managers to notify players of team assignment

  • 1/28/19 – Practices begin this week.
  • 2/23/19 – Spring Jamboree – Opening Day!

 

  •  In person sign up dates are TBD. Must pay by CASH OR CHECK on these dates and bring all appropriate paperwork.

  2.  Wednesday Jan 9th from 6 to 9 PM at the Buckingham Little League field

Gateway Real Estate News – Gateway 2017 sees the 2nd Highest Number of Real Estate

Sales & Increase in Sales Price.

 

The local Gateway real estate market saw the 2nd highest number of Real Estate sales in the last 10 years; along with an increase in the average sales price.

The total number of residential real estate sales in Gateway for 2017 was 366 residential units sold, a slight increase over the 363 residential units sold in 2016. But overall 2017’s total residential sales of 366 unit is above the annual average of 340 homes sold since 2008. In fact, the last three years have been the top 3 years of total residential units sold since 2008.

All that in spite of Hurricane Irma, which made landfall on September 10th, causing extensive damage locally and forcing many residents to be without power for several days. Moreover, sales totals for the month of September were actually above the 10 year average with 32 sales taking place. The months of October and November were also above the 10 year average for sales totals (27 sales for October and 26 sales for November) and the month of December finished right at the 10 year average. Quite a testament to the way the community weathered the storm and also to how quick recovery efforts were in the area.

 

Continuing the upward trend; the average sales price for a Single-family residence in Gateway for 2017 was $315,974.00, which was about a 4.2% increase in sales price versus the 2016 average Single-family home sales price of $303,272.00. However, with that increase in sales price Single-family homes within Gateway did see about a 10% median increase in cumulative days on the market. So the average real estate sales cycle, from listing the home to sale, in Gateway went from just over 3 months to almost 4 months.

Multi-Family Residences (example – Condos, Townhomes, Carriage Homes, etc.) saw an increase in average sales price with the 2017 average sales price being $168,989.00 and the average sales price being $156,273.00. That amounted to an almost 8% increase average sales price for a multi-family home.

 

The new construction communities of Hampton Park, Timberwood Preserve and Hammock Cove are bringing more inventory to the area and plays a part in increasing those sales numbers. But, overall those 366 residential sales is a dramatic improvement from the 205 sales that occurred just 10 years during the recession in 2008 and equates to an almost 79% increase in annual sales.

The continuation of new construction, expanding commercial developments and increased hiring of local businesses within the Gateway area make this a very attractive location for new residents.

 

All this information is great news for local Gateway residents looking to explore the possibility of selling their home and assuring buyers looking to purchase within Gateway that they are making a good financial investment.

Dates:
Team Practices Begin February 27th Or March 1st (Depending On Practice Night)
First Games Begin March 10th and games played every Saturday through the season.
Championship/Final Games On May 12th, 2018. 

Where:
All Games Are Played At The Sherman Soccer Complex In Gateway. 13260 Griffin Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33913.

Ages:
3 Years To 14 Years. (Note: “U” Stands For “Under”. Example U10 = Under 10 Years Of Age). Note: The Cut Off Date Does Change From The Spring Season To The Fall Season, So The Age Group Your Player Was In During The Fall 2017 Season (If Applicable) May Have Changed For This Season. Parents Wanting Players To Move Up Must Register Their Child In The Age Appropriate Division & Then Contact The League For Approval To Play Up.

Price:
** Late Registration Fee Of $10 Applies After January 28th**

  • $125 Per Player For Gateway Residents (Except U4’s – $100).
  • Non-Gateway Residents Pay An Additional $10 Surcharge;
  • $10 Siblings Discount Per Family (When Siblings Are Registered At The Same Time).
  • Price Includes Full Admiral Soccer Uniform (Shirt, Shorts, & Socks), Player Trophy, Supplemental Insurance, Field Rental, Game Official Fees, And Practice Balls.

 Age Group Formations:
Under 4, & Under 6 Will Will Be Coed Divisions. Under 14,  Maybe Coed Divisions (Depending On The Number Of Registrations, Per Gender). All Other Age Groups Will Play Gender Based Divisions. Under 14’S Play On The Full Size Field (11V11). Note: If We Do Not Have Enough Players To Make An Age Or Gender Division Viable, Refunds Will Be Issued.

Practices:
One Hour, Once A Week On Either Tuesdays Or Thursdays 6PM-7PM Or 7PM-8PM
No Mid-Week Practice For Under 4’S – Additional Time Is Given Prior To Games.
Please Specify (If Needed) A Preferred Night During Registration In The “Notes” Section Of Your Registration.

Players Equipment:
All Players Will Need To Supply Their Own Soccer Cleats, Shin Guards, Soccer Ball, & Water Bottle For All Games & Practices.

Coaches:
Any Person Willing To Volunteer As A Head Coach Or Assistant, Please Make Sure To Register Online Or Indicate In Their Players Notes Section. Experience Is Not A Requirement And All Coaches Receive a GSA Coaches Jersey.

Team Allocation & Team Schedules:
Will Be Issued To Parents After Registration Has Been Closed.

Please Be Aware That Any Special Requests For Practices Or Coaches Cannot Be Guaranteed.
