Recently went out to the site of the new Boston Red Sox Spring Training Facility set to open for the 2012 Spring Training Season in Fort Myers, Florida just outside the community of Gateway.  I got a wide panoramic shot of the stadium constuction and a close up shot of the construction (although it might be a little blurry for my taste).  You can really see the framework for the Green Monster, at Mini Fenway, starting to take shape now.  Also the framework for the pratice fields behind JetBlue park are in development as well.  I talked to a couple of construction workers onsite and they said you will really be able to see things coming together by middle to end of June.  I will keep you updated with pictures of the progress and work on getting different angles of the park during the different construction stages.  He would not let me do it because his GC was would flip but I will get one from Home Plate before it is built up.

Local Gateway businesses like Boulevard Tavern and Casa Lupita are excited and hope for extra rollover business from the crowds the park attracts.  The proximity to Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers makes it easy to get in to view game since you are so close.
