Gateway Christian Soccer Association 2011 Fall Season Not Planned at the Sherman Soccer Complex

The Christian Soccer Association that heads the youth soccer leagues in Gateway at the Sherman Soccer Complex currently has no plans for a fall season in 2011.  The CSA is currently reorganizing their board of directors and accepting applications for new members.  The statement from the Christian Soccer Association (CSA) is below:

Dear CSA Families,

The Christian Soccer Association operates with the plan to continue its tradition of family oriented recreational soccer for many years to come.  With this eye to the future, we need to continue to be supported by a core group of leaders that can maintain the high standards that have been established within this league. The current board of directors has been involved for many years and cannot continue to serve in their present positions.  Due to this issue, the CSA is not currently planning a fall season.  This time off is necessary to attract and train a new generation of individuals that can lead the CSA and maintain the same quality of program that has characterized the CSA since its inception.  We will plan on starting up again in the spring of 2012.

The Christian Soccer Association is currently seeking nominations for individuals or couples who may be interested in serving on our Board or in other potential leadership positions.  In submitting a nomination for a potential candidate, please keep in mind the following qualifications:

1. Nominee should have prior or current participation with the Christian Soccer Association
2. Nominee should be an active member of a church body and a professing Christian.
3. Attendance at meetings will be a high priority for the applicant
4. Ability to work and respect the opinions of peers who will serve on the board
5.
Nominee should not only believe in the mission of the CSA but also represent the CSA in a supportive manner at all times and in all places.
6. Nominee should believe in the mission of the CSA and be willing to serve selflessly
7. Nominee should be honest, hard working, responsible and humble.

If you know of someone who would be a good fit for future leadership in the Christian Soccer Association or if you are interested yourself, please submit their/your name to frede@csasoccer.net .

Applicants will be requested to answer follow up questions that will be reviewed by the current board in order to make final selections.

We appreciate your help in continuing a great tradition that has had a huge impact on families across Southwest Florida.
