1st Annual Blessings in a Backpack Charity Garage Sale Saturday November 10th from 8AM to 4PM

 

The event will take place in the parking lot of Scott Fischer Enterprises at 12271 Towne Lake Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33913;  just off Gateway Blvd (behind the Boulevard Deli/Tavern).

 

If you want to shop: Come with your cash, checks and credit cards and we will let you shop till you drop all for an excellent cause.

 

Blessings in a Backpack is now feeding over 2300 children in Lee County and this January we will be starting our first school in Collier County!

 

Blessings in a Backpack helps prevent hunger

The “Blessings in a Backpack” program steps-up where federal aid stops by feeding children on the weekend.  Every Friday afternoon, children receive backpacks filled with kid-friendly, ready-to-eat items.  Students return every Monday morning with an empty backpack, a full stomach, and an eager mind.  In the schools we work with In Lee County test scores, reading skills, positive behavior, general health, and attendance have improved dramatically.   This happens when children get the nourishment they need.
