American Heroes Air Show at JetBlue Park
January 19, 2013 9AM – 4PM
The American Heroes Air Show – the nation’s premier helicopter-only, admission-free aviation event – lands in Fort Myers at the JetBlue Park park.
Since 1993 this unique aviation event has been introducing families across the nation to the Heroes they can really look up to with static displays and flight demos of helicopters that educate the public about the dynamic role these unique aircraft play in law enforcement, public safety, communications, national defense and homeland security.
The Heroes event also welcomes the American Veterans Traveling Tribute with their inspiring Cost of Freedom presentation: a veterans-owned project that travels the country to provide a forum for communities to HONOR – RESPECT – REMEMBER those who have sacrificed their lives for our country’s freedom. The centerpiece of the exhibit: an 80% scale replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall will provide the emotional backdrop when the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Service hosts a very special Naturalization Ceremony where U.S. military members and others will take their Oath of Allegiance and become our newest citizens.
The American Heroes event also hosts the CODE3 Career Fair which introduces recruiting teams from law enforcement, public safety, the military and volunteer service organizations with information on career opportunities public service.
