Gateway Gives Announces 2012 Charitable Accomplishments

• Officially Launched in July!
• In 2012 Gateway Gives Foundation donated around $10,000 to help those in need!
• Raised and donated $6,500 for the Gateway Family Relief Fund.
• Gateway Gives provided a fun afternoon for Gateway Community with the Festival in the Park event in June.
• Partnered with Habitat for Humanity on a volunteer build.
• Participated in the Gateway Chili Cook Off to help The Edge Foundation.
• Established a Gateway Gives Foundation Scholarship Fund that will begin to award selected recipients in 2013.
• Provided registration assistance for 5 kids to be able to play flag football & soccer this Fall Season ($500).
• Sponsored a soccer team through a single donation on behalf of Gateway Gives.
• Donated 2 soccer goals for the Fun Park (next to Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church) in Gateway Community.
• They Held a Community Service Day – Where they painted trash receptacles, painted benches, refurbished recycling bens, picked up trash, conducted some minor maintenance in the playground areas.
• Partnered with Brown Academy to provide Holiday Goody Packages for our troops serving abroad ($400).
• Held their first annual Gateway Gives Charity Golf tournament – October 28th, 2012 at Old Corkscrew Golf Club.
• Participated in the Gateway Community Annual Christmas Tree lighting Ceremony.  Assisted the Gateway Service District in collecting food for Harry Chapin and Toys for Tots.
• Provided holiday assistance for several families in need for the holidays. Provided toys, clothing, and gift certificates this 2012 Holiday season totalling $2,500.

Gateway Gives would like to thank everyone involved in our Holiday Helping project. We were able to provide some needed assistance for several families. As we end our first year, we look forward to what the future brings for Gateway Gives Foundation. Help Make a Difference…
