Gateway is now a Tree City USA Community

 

Gateway becomes the first Community Development District in Florida to achieve the designation!  There is a recognition plaque in the Gateway Services office lobby and a Tree City USA flag out front of the building.  There will be signs at the community entrance to show the public the Gateway Community is a community that recognizes the benefits of trees where we live, and cares about the environment.

 

Tree City USA program is sponsored by The National Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the USDA Forest Service and the National Association of State Foresters.

 

A community’s public image is important in many ways. Being a Tree City USA helps present the kind of image that most citizens want to have for the place they live or conduct business. It is also an indication to prospective businesses that the quality of life may be better here. Gaining and retaining Tree City USA recognition is an award to the Gateway Services District board members, managers, staff, and the community who all work together to care for our community’s trees.
