Reminder – Boil Water Notice in Effect for Gateway until Wednesday (9/18/13) 7PM

Due to the water main break over the weekend on Gateway Boulevard near Daniels Parkway all of Gateway is currently under a 72 hour boil water notice that expires Wednesday (9/18/13) at 7PM.

 

All irrigation water is shut down for repair of the mainline; repairs are currently underway and should be completed today (Tuesday 9/17/13).

 

While under a Boil Water Notice; boil tap water at a rolling boil for one minute or use bottled water for Drinking, Cooking, Making Ice, Brushing Teeth or Washing Dishes.

 

To ensure safe drinking water, Gateway Services District placed the area under a boil water notice until bacteriological testing shows that the drinking water is safe.  Those tests generally take 48 to 72 hours to complete.  Residents are recommended to continually check with Gateway Services District for the status of the Boil Water Notice at their websiste www.gatewaydistrict.org or by phone at 239-561-1313.
