The LLS Light the Night page for the CML Superheroes provides the following information on the team:

Welcome to the CML Superheroes Light the Night team!  We are thrilled to be able to participate in Light the Night again this year and hope you can join us in the mission to end blood cancer!

My name is Noelle Childs and I was diagnosed with leukemia in August 2013. I am so happy to share that I reached full molecular remission in August 2014.  The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society funded the trial for the drug created 16 years ago which has saved my life, and also the clinical trial I just completed which gave me the chance to reach full remission.  It is now my responsibility and mission to help other people with blood cancers and save more lives in the future.

I have learned by working with the LLS over the past year that over 77% of their donations go directly to helping people with blood cancer and research for a cure.  In addition, LLS research grants have funded many of the therapies first approved for blood cancer patients which are now helping patients with other types of cancers and other serious diseases.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s “Light the Night” walk is coming up again, and we’re excited to say there is a walk here in Fort Myers this year!  We are looking forward to make an impact at this new walk, and to bring a tremendous amount of awareness and support to this incredible organization.

To all of our local friends, if you would like to join us at the walk, we’d love to have you on our team, the CML (Chronic Myelogeneous Leukemia) Superheroes!

If you feel are able to make a donation, every dollar counts, and we can’t thank you enough!
