Southern Fresh Farms Agriculture Park, Farmer’s & Fish Market – Grand Opening December 6th, 2014

 

 

Southern Fresh Farms Farmer’s & Fish market and Agriculture Park – Grand Opening December 6th, 2014 from 9AM to 5PM. Southern Fresh Farms will feature the finest produce and fish farmed onsite, as well as, the best local goods. They also invite you to try their famous sweet tea, stir up a smoothie, or sit and stay awhile. There is an onsite fishing dock where you can grab a pole and cast a line. Activities for the kids include a playground and petting farm.

 

The Grand Opening for South Fresh Farms will take place Saturday at 9AM with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Noon.  Southern Fresh Farms is located at 8500 Penzance Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33912 across from the community of Paseo (Daniels Parkway to Palomino Lane then West on Penzance Blvd).

 

Southern Fresh Farms Park offers a Petting Zoo, Playground, Fishing Dock, a Fish House to try a delicious fish sandwich or fish taco, Guided Tours and Smoothie Bar. The Market features Produce, Locally produced Honey, Homemade Jellies, Sweet Tea, Flowers, Tilapia (Fileted or Whole), Candy, Crafts, Apparel and Gift Cards.

 

Southern Fresh Farms uses one of the best hydroponic systems around, a vertical growing system developed by Verti-Gro. Along with hydroponic systems, Southern Fresh Farm’s also raises Tilapia from fingerlings, which are then sold onsite in the market, either whole or filleted. The fish are fed a special grain based food, that promotes health and nutrition for the fish, and in return, for those who consume them. 

 

Southern Fresh Farms also offers monthly rentals of garden space of varying sizes to grow your own produce or garden.
