The 2016 Boston Red Sox season begins with Spring Training at JetBlue Park at Fenway South on February 29th, 2016. Tickets for the 17 JetBlue Park home games go on sale Saturday, December 5th, 2015. Tickets can be purchased beginning at 10AM at JetBlue Park, by calling 888-REDSOX6 or at redsox.com.
The Red Sox will leave Fort Myers earlier than usual, March 28th is their home finale, as they will have 2 exhibition games in Montreal, Canada against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The dates for players reporting to camp and the start of spring training are as follows:
February 18th: Pitchers and Catchers Report
Red Sox fans will see a bevy of new faces in camp this spring when pitchers and catchers gather to start spring workouts. First workouts will be held February 19th.
February 24th: Full Squad Reports
Excitement will be the word of the day as the full squad reports for the first time. David Ortiz announcing 2016 will be his last season should draw attention to the team.
February 29th: First Game – Boston Red Sox vs. Boston College & Northeastern
Sox fans can watch the Red Sox in action for the first time as they play their annual spring games against Boston College Eagles and Northeastern University Huskies on February 29th for a single admission double header at JetBlue Park.
March 2nd: First Red Sox Grapefruit League Home Game – Minnesota Twins vs. Boston Red Sox at JetBlue Park at Fenway South
The first spring training home game for Boston Red Sox will take place at 1:05PM on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016.
March 28th: Last Boston Red Sox Grapefruit League Home Game – Toronto Blue Jays vs. Boston Red Sox at JetBlue
The Red Sox spring training home game finale will take place at 1:05PM on Monday, Marhc 28th, 2016.
March 31st: Last Grapefruit League Game – Boston Red Sox vs. Minnesota Twins at CenturyLink Sports Complex
The Red Sox will take on the Minnesota Twins in their final Graperuit League game before traveling to Montreal for two final exihibition games against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Chairman’s Cup—the annual trophy given to the winner of the Red Sox-Twins spring series as the two representatives of the city of Fort Myers—will be on the line.

The Red Sox opened the new 10,823-seat stadium in 2012. JetBlue Park features an almost-exact replica of the 37-foot Green Monster at Fenway Park, complete with its own manual scoreboard.
