New Publix Supermarket and Shopping Plaza coming to Gateway

A new Publix Supermarket and mixed use shopping plaza will be developed at the Skyplex complex located on Southwest Florida International Airport land. The News Press confirmed in the following article, with quotes from local Gateway residents including Commercial Real Estate expert Craig Kopko, Gateway Real Estate expert Heather Maciaszek and Lee County Commissioner Cecil Pendergrass. 

The tenants of the mall have yet to be officially announced by North American Properties and Publix has not confirmed their intent to occupy the space. However, local residents have expressed  desire for a local Publix for some time and there has been rumors of the planned development for a long time.
