Third Annual “Take Your Skin to a Better Place” 5K Run/Walk/Jog at JetBlue Park, Saturday

Florida Skin Center is hosting the 3rd annual 5K for malignant melanoma called ‘Take Your Skin to a Better Place.’ The event takes place on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at JetBlue Park Fenway South. The hope is to generate awareness, research and works towards a possible cure during Melanoma Awareness Month.

Registration for walkers, joggers and runners begins at 7AM, with an 8AM start and conclusion at 9AM. The cost to participate is $35 from now through May 11,2018 or $50 on the day of the event. All net proceeds from donations will go to the Skin Cancer Foundation.

The event includes refreshments, official 5K T-shirts, a photo opportunity with the Florida Skin Center mascot, and a $500 award to the 1st place male and female 5K runners. Florida Skin Center’s goal for this year’s race is $15,000 and 200 participants. Timed Events will track the timing of the race and release results at the Florida Skin Center’s website FloridaSkinCenter.com.
