Gateway Update – Griffin Drive at SR 82 will be closed Monday, September 10th – Expected

The FDOT has announced that as part of the State Road (SR) 82 widening project from Lee/Colonial Boulevard to Shawnee Road, crews will need to install drainage and construct new roadway at the intersection of SR 82 and Griffin Drive in Lee County. Performing this work will require the closure of Griffin Drive at the SR 82 intersection. The closure is anticipated to take 2 weeks and should be completed by September 24th.

 

The Griffin Drive closure will take place early in the morning on September 10th. Residents are suggested to take Gateway Boulevard as an alternative route.
