On your mark, Get set, WOOF!! Get ready to run for the dogs with the dogs!

The Fast and the Furriest 5K and 1 Mile Walk has a New Venue for the 10th Year Anniversary Event! April 4th, 2020 at Jetblue Park at Fenway South ​!!

This 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk is dog friendly and tail-wagging fun! Participants can run or walk with or without a dog! Special Finisher Medals for first 500 to cross Finish.

If you love all things furry and want to help GCHS with it’s mission to provide humane care for surrendered animals by offering refuge, providing medical care, and facilitating an adoptive home in it’s no-kill shelter. You can’t miss this!

Whether you are a serious runner, a weekend jogger, simply enjoy walking, or just love all things furry – this event is for YOU!

Traditional age group medals awarded to top chipped runners, and to the Fastest Dogs in 3 weight categories.

Other awards for Top Fundraisers and Triple Crown Award Winners too!

Awards will be given to overall male & female and top 3 in each age group (male & female)

Age Categories: 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Up and Weight Category of Pets

Course will be open for at least 1 hour – results will be tallied as soon as possible

Pets are welcome to participate with their Guardians but MUST be leashed (non-retractable leads only) and up to date with vaccinations. They must be accustomed to the distance and weather (3.1 miles) and able to not interfere with other participants or pets. If your dog is struggling, please stop. Water and cooling stations will be available throughout the course.
