The Gateway Community Fun Park located behind Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church received some recent improvements and updates to the park. The improvements include the addition of a light pole, the playground was replaced, new toddler swings were installed and a sandbox with timber bordering the perimeter. The sand volleyball court has been refurbished with a new net, border pipe and new plastic covered posts. In addition the basketball court has been resurfaced and the rims and nets are being replaced. …

The Gateway Soccer Association (GSA) announced they have opened registration for the Spring 2012 season.  You have until February 5th to register for the spring season, after that date there is an additional $20 late registration fee. Register Here The Gateway Soccer Association Spring Season begins March 3rd, 2012 and runs to May 12th, 2012.  The season will be a 10 week season with Easter weekend off.  The format will be identical to the Fall 2011 season with mid-week practices….

The Gateway Parks Department has announced a Movie on the Field at the Gateway’s Soccer Fields the Sherman Soccer Complex. The Boston Red Sox released their 2012 Spring Training schedule.  The schedule includes 18 games at the team’s new Spring Training Stadium, JetBlue Park at Fenway South. The tickets for all 2012 spring training games at JetBlue Park are set to go on sale on 10 a.m. Saturday, December 17th, 2011. The ticket prices will range from $5 to $46 for the 2012 season out of those more than 75 percent of available tickets are priced at $27 or less….
