Friends &#038; family, children &#038; seniors, neighbors &#038; co-workers all have the power to walk to the end of cancer!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Local residents have put together a team to help support and give back to an organization that has meant so much to them.\u00a0 The team is CML (Chronic Myelogeneous Leukemia) Superheroes and they are asking for support from the community.<\/p>\n<p>There are several ways to help<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visit their Team page at <a title=\"CML Super Heroes LLS Light the Night Page\" href=\"http:\/\/pages.lightthenight.org\/sfl\/swfl14\/CMLSuperheroes\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/pages.lightthenight.org\/sfl\/swfl14\/CMLSuperheroes<\/a> to make a donation or sign up to join the walk.\u00a0 <br \/>The Southwest Florida Light the Night Walk is this Saturday, October 4th, 2014,\u00a0 5:00 PM at Centennial Park, 200 West First Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Join their special event at the Melting Pot in Fort Myers for Cheese, Chocolate &#038; Wine for the LLS Light The Night on Thursday, October 2nd, 2014 at 6:30 PM<br \/>Benefiting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society&#8217;s Light the Night walk!\n<p>Ticket includes cheese fondue course, chocolate fondue course and a glass of wine. I am so happy to share that I reached full molecular remission in August 2014.\u00a0 The Leukemia &#038; Lymphoma Society funded the trial for the drug created 16 years ago which has saved my life, and also the clinical trial I just completed which gave me the chance to reach full remission.\u00a0 It is now my responsibility and mission to help other people with blood cancers and save more lives in the future.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I have learned by working with the LLS over the past year that over 77% of their donations go directly to helping people with blood cancer and research for a cure.\u00a0 In addition, LLS research grants have funded many of the therapies first approved for blood cancer patients which are now helping patients with other types of cancers and other serious diseases.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Saturday October 4, 2014 05:00 PM EST<\/em><br \/><em>Volunteer Hosted Walk-Centennial Park in Fort Myers, FL<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Leukemia &#038; Lymphoma Society&#8217;s Light The Night\u00ae Walk funds research to advance therapies and treatments that are saving lives every day.
