Fort Myers Brewing Company Inaugural Summer Beer Fest 2013 this Saturday, June 22nd starts at 11AM.

Featuring the Inaugural Beer Mile – Drink a Beer, run a quarter mile, repeat 3 times and try not to fall down.  Prizes for fastest Male & Female (Must finish with all four beers in your belly to be eligible for prizes) and 4 person relay teams welcome.  Registration is $20 per person in advance or $25 per person the day of the event; registration includes beer during the run and a t-shirt.  Register at the Fort Myers Brewing Company, 12811 Commerce Lakes Drive Suites 27-28 from 9:30AM – 10:30Am during the week.  The race begins at 11AM.

You do NOT need to run the beer mile to attend the Summer Fest Celebration. You can come to their tasting room between noon and 9 and celebrate the event. They will have special swag, limited release brews, giveaways, etc.

The Summer Fest will also feature a Home Brew Competition:
· Check-in Starts at 8am; Judging starts at 10am.
· Must bring 2 unlabeled bottles for judges (please bring some extra to share!)
· Must specify brew type when checking in
· Standard BJCP Categories and Scoring Guidelines. Best of Show will be the overall winner and will be brewed onsite and then tapped in the Fort Myers Brewing Company tasting room!
· Awards will be presented in the Tasting Room – Probably around 5pm depending on the number of entries.
