Fort Myers 32nd Taste of the Town Sunday, November 2nd 11AM – 5PM at JetBlue Park

 

The 32 year old Taste of the Town Food Festival will be held at JetBlue Park Fenway South, just outside the community of Gateway, November 2nd from 11AM to 5PM.  This is the second year Taste of the Town, previously held in downtown Fort Myers for the last 20 years, will take place at JetBlue Park.

 

 

The Fort Myers Taste of the Town event will take place at JetBlue Park on November 2nd, 2014; the event acts as a fundraiser for the Junior League of Fort Myers. The event brings in around 40 locally owned and franchised restaurants, along with additional vendors, media and entertainment. Local entertainers include Little Eddie and the Fat Fingers, Ben Allen Band, CTO High Voltage and Model Citisin. Each restaurant will present a “taste” of their best and most popular dishes. All food and beverage items will cost between $1 and $5 worth of tickets. Tickets will also be used to purchase entry to the Kids Entertainment area. Cash Only is accepted the day of the event; ATMs are available throughout the park.

 

 

The admissions to the event remain the same, $5.00, children 12 and under are free, and parking for the event is $5.00.  Tickets are purchased to sample the various foods and drink offerings from the participating vendors. This year the Taste of the Town is offering only 100 VIP tickets which provide unlimited access to the air conditioned tent, shade & seating in the VIP Patio, access to the upstairs VIP Beer Garden, complimentary catered food by local restaurants (11AM – 1PM food provided by Citrola’s Italian Grill & Pizzeria), Two Complimentary Beer Tickets, Unlimited Water, VIP Parking area, close proximity to VIP Parking and Restrooms; along with access to all areas available to General Admission.  The tickets are $60 each or 2 for $100.

The JetBlue Park location for the event offers plenty of additional parking and is more convenient to all of Southwest Florida.  The event has averaged 10,000 guests and attracted more guests at last year’s event.
