New Wheeled Recycling Carts to be issued to Gateway resident starting March 16, 2015

 

 

Residents of Gateway will soon be receiving 64 Gallon wheeled cart recycling containers.  Beginning the day you receive your new cart place only recyclables in the container.  The old recycling bin can be utilized for additional recyclables that will not fit into the new cart.  You may also return the old recycling bin by placing it inside your new cart and the Solid Waste Department will recycle the bin.

 

Over 34,000 carts will be delivered to Gateway, South Fort Myers, San Carlos and Estero residents from March 16th through April 30th.  Lee County has been in Florida’s Top Ten counties for recycling every year since 2002. The carts are part of the County’s effort to achieve the Florida Legislature’s recycling goal of 75 percent by 2020.
