Southwest FL Walk Like MADD and 5k DASH 2018 this Saturday, September 29th

 

On Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at JetBlue Park at Fenway South the Southwest FL Walk Like MADD and 5k Dash will take place.

 

The MADD Southwest Florida Walk & 5K starts at the iconic spring training home of the Red Sox and follows a route past the MADD office, along the beautiful tree-lined streets of the Gateway neighborhood, then back to Fenway South to run or walk across home plate!

At home plate, there will be a photographer to take your photo with the original score board and SWFL Green Monster in the background.

Every person who registers for to walk or run will receive a custom-made finisher medal and event shirt.  Walkers will receive a 100% cotton event shirts.  Male runners will receive a dryfit traditional-fit event shirt.  Female runners will receive a women’s cut, v-neck dryfit event shirt.

Walkers: This year, we offer a 1-mile turnaround option.

Runners: This year, Endurance Sports is timing the 5K race.  The 5K course is certified by USATF, certification code: FL18027TY.  As in past years, we will award custom-made place medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for male/female and age categories as well as overall winners.

This is more than a traditional walk/5K, our goal is to rally a community around this public health issue so we will have music, celebrity chefs and fun activities for the whole family after the walk/run.
