Reminder: Gateway Boulevard Closed at State Road 82 beginning Monday, January 21

 

Gateway Blvd at SR82 is scheduled to be closed from 2AM Monday, January 21 through 5AM Monday, February 4. The Griffin Drive road closure did actually finish sooner than expected, so hopes are this closure does not run until February 4th.

Alternate recommended routes are Griffin Drive to get you to SR82, Commerce Lakes Drive off of Gateway Boulevard connects to Plantation Gardens Drive and leads you to Treeline Ave, and finally Daniels Parkway.

The closure is part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s State Road State Road 82 widening project from Colonial Boulevard to Shawnee Road, crews will need to mill and resurface, construct curb and gutter, and grade the intersection of SR 82 and Gateway Boulevard in Lee County. This will require the closure of Gateway Boulevard at the SR82 intersection in Fort Myers, FL.
