Recently went out to the site of the new Boston Red Sox Spring Training Facility set to open for the 2012 Spring Training Season in Fort Myers, Florida just outside the community of Gateway.  I got a wide panoramic shot of the stadium constuction and a close up shot of the construction (although it might be a little blurry for my taste).  You can really see the framework for the Green Monster, at Mini Fenway, starting to take shape now.  Also…

Now it is still about a month away, but the Gateway Community has announced a scheduled event for Independence Day this July 4th.  The event will take place at the Gateway Commons Pool off Gateway Boulevard on Monday July 4th from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Comcast closes Sarasota call center, relocating 93 jobs to Gateway in Fort Myers

Comcast Cable will close its residential call center in Sarasota, laying off 129 workers, but will open a new regional dispatch center that will employ 93. The company is combining the Sarasota call center into a similar operation in Fort Myers, spokesman Bill Ferry said Tuesday.
